How does armpit hair help us?

What is it protecting us from?

Is it keeping us warm?

Preventing chafing?

Serving some important evolutionary purpose that everyone else seems to understand except me?

Or is it simply...

A design flaw?

Because if we're being honest, I have questions.

We have invented razors.

Wax.

Laser hair removal.

We have developed entire industries dedicated to removing this particular hair.

And yet, our bodies keep growing it.

Why?

What exactly is the armpit hair doing there?

Is it working?

Is it essential?

Is it just freeloading?

Make it make sense.
